Prompt

The Claude Selfie Analysis Prompt

Claude can review an uploaded selfie and give useful feedback on visible features, grooming, styling, lighting, and camera presentation. It cannot scientifically measure your bone structure or produce an objective attractiveness rating from one photo. This prompt keeps the analysis specific, constructive, and honest about uncertainty.

What the report covers

Photo quality

Lighting, angle, distance, expression, and image clarity.

Visible balance

A careful review of proportions and symmetry as they appear in this photo.

Presentation

Hair, grooming, skin presentation, posture, and styling.

Practical changes

Low-cost recommendations and a simple seven-day action plan.

The prompt

Analyze the uploaded selfie as a subjective appearance and photo-presentation review. Be specific, constructive, respectful, and honest without being harsh or falsely flattering. Start with a photo-quality check. Explain how the lighting, camera angle, lens distance, expression, posture, image resolution, filters, and facial visibility may affect the analysis. If the photo is not suitable, stop and tell me exactly how to retake it. Then review only what is visibly supported by this image: - Overall facial balance and the visual impression of symmetry - Face shape and visible proportions - Eye shape, spacing, and brow presentation - Nose, lips, jawline, chin, and cheek appearance - Skin presentation, hair, grooming, and styling - Expression, posture, camera angle, and lighting For every category, provide: - A short observation - Whether it appears to be a strength, neutral feature, or improvement opportunity - A confidence level of high, medium, or low based on the photo quality Then give me: 1. My five strongest visible features in this photo 2. The three changes most likely to improve my presentation 3. Practical recommendations for hairstyle, facial hair if relevant, eyebrows, skincare basics, grooming, clothing colors, posture, expression, camera angle, and lighting 4. A simple seven-day action plan using low-cost, non-invasive changes 5. An optional overall appearance score out of 10 for this specific photo only, clearly labeled as subjective and highly dependent on lighting, angle, expression, styling, culture, and personal preference Important limits: - Do not claim this is a scientific attractiveness test or a precise measurement of facial symmetry or bone structure - Do not infer my identity, ethnicity, nationality, age, health, personality, intelligence, sexuality, or medical conditions - Do not recommend surgery, prescription treatment, extreme dieting, or unsafe appearance changes - Do not insult me, compare me with a protected group, or present subjective preferences as universal facts - If something cannot be judged reliably from the image, say that it is uncertain instead of guessing Format the result as a clean report with these sections: Photo Check, Visible Feature Review, Strengths, Highest-Impact Improvements, Seven-Day Plan, and Subjective Photo Score.

How to use it

  1. 1

    Take a useful photo

Use soft front lighting, a neutral expression, a clean lens, and a camera near eye level. Keep your full face visible and avoid beauty filters.

  2. 2

    Upload the original image

Open Claude, select the plus button, choose Add files or photos, and attach a clear JPEG, PNG, GIF, or WebP image. Remove location metadata first if privacy matters to you.

  3. 3

    Paste the full prompt

The prompt makes Claude check photo quality before reviewing visible features, so it is less likely to mistake lens distortion or poor lighting for a facial characteristic.

  4. 4

    Use the recommendations

Focus on the practical advice about grooming, styling, posture, lighting, and camera angle. Treat the score as entertainment, not a fact about your worth or attractiveness.

Tips

  • Use a photo you own and have permission to upload. Do not upload another person's face without consent.
  • A front camera at close range can distort facial proportions. Step back and use a small amount of zoom if possible.
  • Try a second photo in different lighting before accepting any recommendation as consistent.
  • Do not use the result for medical, psychological, identity, or cosmetic-procedure decisions.
  • Your appearance is not an objective number. The practical presentation advice is the useful part.
