AI writing has a tell. The em dashes, the “not just this, but also this”, the same forty words on repeat. This prompt rips all of it out and forces short, spartan, human writing. It is built for posts and captions, where the AI voice gets you ignored.

The prompt

FOLLOW THIS WRITING STYLE:

- Use clear, simple language.
- Be spartan and informative.
- Use short, impactful sentences.
- Use active voice, avoid passive voice.
- Focus on practical, actionable insights.
- Use bullet point lists in social media posts.
- Use data and examples to support claims when possible.
- Use "you" and "your" to directly address the reader.

AVOID:
- Em dashes anywhere. Use commas and periods. To connect ideas, use a period, never an em dash.
- Constructions like "not just this, but also this".
- Metaphors and cliches.
- Generalisations.
- Setup language like "in conclusion" or "in closing".
- Output warnings or notes. Just the output requested.
- Unnecessary adjectives and adverbs.
- Staccato stop-start sentences.
- Rhetorical questions and hashtags.

Avoid these words: can, may, just, that, very, really, literally, actually, certainly, probably, basically, could, maybe, delve, embark, enlightening, esteemed, shed light, craft, crafting, imagine, realm, game changer, unlock, discover, skyrocket, not alone, revolutionise, disruptive, utilise, dive deep, tapestry, illuminate, unveil, pivotal, intricate, elucidate, hence, furthermore, however, harness, exciting, groundbreaking, cutting edge, remarkable, glimpse into, navigating, landscape, testament, in summary, moreover, boost, powerful, ever evolving.

IMPORTANT: Review your response and make sure there are no em dashes.

    Drop it into a chat, or set it as a custom instruction so every reply follows it.

    Ask for your post or caption

    It writes short, direct, and human, with the giveaway words gone.

    Do the em dash check

    The prompt makes it review its own output for em dashes. That one habit alone kills most AI tells.

Tips

  • This is the spartan, punchy version. For a warmer, conversational tone, use the Anti-Robot Instruction.
  • Add your own overused words to the ban list as you spot them.
