Find Every Photo of You Online with ChatGPT

This is the ChatGPT version of the photo audit. You upload a selfie, ChatGPT writes out what makes you recognizable, then it searches the public places your photos and name turn up and hands you a link to each one. It works off what is publicly indexed, so give it your name, usernames, and profile links to search with. The results can be uncomfortable, which is rather the point.

How it works
  1. 1

    Describe what makes you recognizable

  2. 2

Search the public places you appear

  3. 3

    Draft the removal requests

What to give it

A clear selfie

Recent, well lit, and actually looks like you.

Your full name

Plus any earlier names or spellings people use.

Your usernames

Old handles count. They are often the loose thread.

Your profile links

Public social accounts give it somewhere to start.

How to use it

  1. 1

    Describe what makes you recognizable

Upload a clear selfie and have ChatGPT write out the features that make you recognizable, so you have something to audit against.

Analyze this photo and list every specific feature that makes me recognizable, so you can help me audit where my image appears online.

  2. 2

Search the public places you appear

Give it your name, usernames, and social profiles. It searches public results, social profiles, and image results, then returns a link for each place you turn up.

Using my selfie, my name, my usernames, my social profiles, and everything you know about me, search for public places where my photos may appear online, and give me a link to each one.

  3. 3

    Draft the removal requests

Go through the list, pick the ones you want gone, and have it write a custom takedown request for each site.

Now write me a custom removal request for each of these sites to get my photos taken down.

Tips

  • Turn on search or browsing in ChatGPT, otherwise it cannot look anything up.
  • It searches what is publicly indexed. It will not run facial recognition across the web, so hand it your name, usernames, and profile links to work from.
  • Only audit yourself. Do not run this on other people.
  • You do not have to remove everything. Keep the photos you are happy with.
  • Screenshot every removal request you send. Sites have a habit of forgetting.
