10 Power Prompts
You do not need long prompts to get great answers. You need the right line at the right moment. These ten do most of the heavy lifting. Save them and reach for one whenever an answer feels flat.
The 10 lines
- Clarify first. “Ask me clarifying questions until you are 95% confident you can do this.”
- Top 0.1% thinking. “What would a top 0.1% expert in this field do differently here?”
- Reframe it. “Reframe this in a way that changes how I see the problem.”
- Assume a persona. “Act as a lawyer / marketer / founder / professor and answer from that view.”
- Explain like I'm X. “Explain this like I'm a beginner / a CEO / a 10 year old.”
- Give me the framework. “Give me a clear step-by-step framework or checklist for this.”
- Compare options. “Give me 2 to 3 options with pros, cons, risks, and when to choose each.”
- Stress test it. “Critique this idea ruthlessly and tell me what could go wrong.”
- Make it practical. “Give me examples, templates, or scripts I can use right now.”
- Upgrade the output. “Rewrite this to be clearer, shorter, more persuasive, and higher quality.”
Tips
- Stack them. Ask for options, then say “stress test the one you would pick”.
- “Clarify first” is the highest-leverage line here. Use it before any big task.
