Guide
Claude Finance Agents
Anthropic released ten ready-to-run finance agent templates for Claude. Most are built for financial-services teams, but three are especially useful to understand if you follow companies or want better research workflows: Market Researcher, Earnings Reviewer, and Model Builder. This is research support, not financial advice. Do your own checking before you touch real money.

Claude finance agents
Anthropic released ten finance agent templates on May 5, 2026. The full marketplace is on GitHub, with plugins and cookbooks for Claude Cowork, Claude Code, and Claude Managed Agents.
Market Researcher
Tracks sector and issuer developments, then synthesizes news, filings, and broker research.
Use it for: what changed across the companies I follow?
Earnings Reviewer
Reads transcripts and filings, updates models, and flags thesis-relevant changes.
Use it for: what did management actually say?
Model Builder
Creates and maintains financial models from filings, data feeds, and analyst inputs.
Use it for: what is this business worth under different assumptions?
Sources
Check the filings, transcripts, research, and news it used.
Assumptions
Look at growth, margin, discount-rate, and terminal-value choices.
Formulas
If it builds a model, inspect the math before you use it.
Risk
Ask what could break the thesis, not just what supports it.

The three to know
- Market Researcher Use it to monitor stocks, sectors, news, filings, and broker research. Good for finding what changed, not for blindly deciding what to buy.
- Earnings Reviewer Use it to read an earnings call transcript and filings, then pull out guidance, management tone, risks, and thesis-relevant changes.
- Model Builder Use it to build and update valuation models from filings, data feeds, and analyst inputs. Treat every model as a draft to inspect.
How to use it
- 1
Open the official marketplace
Start with Anthropic's financial-services repo. It has the agent templates and the setup notes.
- 2
Pick the agent for the job
Use Market Researcher for company and sector updates, Earnings Reviewer for earnings calls, and Model Builder for valuation work.
- 3
Give it clean source material
Provide the tickers, holdings, transcript, filing, model, or source documents. Better inputs mean fewer weird answers.
- 4
Review the output yourself
Claude can draft research, notes, and models. You still need to verify sources, assumptions, formulas, and risks.
Tips
- Do not paste private portfolio data unless you understand your account and workplace data rules.
- Ask for sources and assumptions every time. Finance answers without sources are just vibes in a suit.
- These agents do not replace a licensed financial adviser. They help you read and organize information faster.
- A model is only as good as its assumptions. Always stress-test the bear case.
